Two Months

Height: 24 inches
Weight: 12 lbs. 5 oz

Likes:
His swing
His play mat
Mommy singing
Daddy's laugh
To suck on his fists

Dislikes:
Being sick 😞
Being tired
And being hungry
Tummy time (after a while)

We really do have the chillest little baby! He cries for 3 things: food, sleep and to be picked up after tummy time. This month Blake got to meet all this cousins on my side of the family, and had his first Thanksgiving! He was blessed by his dad on the 30th of November as well, which was so sweet and it was awesome to have the whole family there for it. He's getting so big, and we just love him!

One Month

Height: about 22 1/4 inches
Weight: 8 lbs 14.9 oz

Our little Blake is one month old!! I can't believe how fast it has gone by. Even though I've never been more tired in my whole life, I wouldn't want it any other way! Isaac and I just love our little man.

Blake loves to be held by anyone and everyone. He'll sleep okay if I lay him down, but he'll sleep longer if he's held during the day. At night he sleeps for about 3 hours at a time in his crib, which is pretty nice! He likes his play mat and will stare at the animals hanging over his head. He does not like his swing and will cry after about 10 minutes of being in it. He also does not like being dressed or undressed, unless I can get it done fast enough, he gets pretty upset. Blake loves lights and looking around when he's on my chest. Tummy time goes pretty well, but he's usually hungry when we're doing it so it doesn't last too long before he's just over it and ready to eat. Overall, Blake is such a good baby and I am so thankful for him!

Pregnancy and Blake's birth

I found out I was pregnant on February 2nd, the day before heading to Utah for a month! I hadn't had any symptoms yet, I just felt like I should take a test, so I did. Isaac and I were so happy!! We had been trying to get pregnant for a few months, and were so excited that the time had come!
I told my mom right away, but waited a week or two to tell my sister's. Hope was about to have her baby and Jackie was pregnant as well, so for a few weeks all 3 of us were pregnant at the same time!!

Our first ultrasound was on March 18th, and we could see his little heart beating! I remember thinking that it still didn't really feel real, like I wasn't really pregnant. That soon changed when I felt him move for the first time around 16 weeks, and felt him everyday after that. He was a mover, no doubt about it!

I never got to take my 39 week picture because little Blake decided to make an appearance!

My contractions started on Saturday, October 5th around 1:30 p.m. but didn't get painful until 3:00 a.m. on October 6th. We had gone into the hospital on Saturday because my contractions had been going every 5 minutes for more than an hour, but I was only dilated to a 2. When we went in on Sunday morning I was still only dilated to like a 3 but because my contractions were so frequent and so painful, they admitted me and I got the epidural put in within the next hour or so, thank goodness!! By noon I was feeling the need to push after they broke my water around 10 or 11 to place a heart rate monitor on Blake's head (at which point I had only been a 4) so I got to a 10 pretty fast! By 1 ish I was pushing and by 2:23 p.m. he was here!

February 2019

The month of February was an exciting one! My oldest sister Hope was due with her baby girl at the end of the month, but due to a family history of going early, we were all on the edge of our seats waiting to hear any changes to indicate her going into labor. My mom tries to be there for the birth of all her grandchildren, and since I'm not in school or working right now I planned to go with her.

What I didn't know however, was that little miss Georgie (Hope's baby) liked to play tricks on us. Saturday the 2nd, my mom texted me to start prepping my luggage to go to Utah because we might end up going in the near future. So I figured I would just pack all the clothing I was going to take and then just leave the toiletries for last minute packing. Thank goodness I did, because the next day my mom told me that we were heading to Utah! So we started our long drive to Hope and George's house where we got to stay for the whole month because Georgie decided not to come until her due date!

We had a fun month hanging out with family, and hopefully didn't get in Hope and George's way too much! :)

Frado's waiting for some leftover milk. This was our morning routine :)

Made no-bake cookies and Grayson was a little
overzealous licking the spoon afterwards!

Mom, Judy and Heidi all going down on the sled together!

There were a lot of kitty cuddles :)

And a lot of puzzles

We also played with Facebook filters a lot!

And then finally the day (or should I say night) arrived!

Little Georgie Bea is adorable and loved so much already!

Fall and Winter Happenings

When we moved back to Oregon, Isaac started bus driving and working at his Dad's pharmacy again. Bus driving means also getting to do the occasional field trip, which I get to go with him on sometimes! The girls volleyball team in banks was having an all day tournament at Seaside so I tagged along with Isaac to spend some time at the beach :)

In Seaside there is this bagel shop called "Bagels By the Sea". It is super yummy
and is a Seaside tradition for me

For lunch we tried this little food "truck" and it was SOO good!! I had never had
Tuna fish and chips before! Much better than cod

Hanging out on the bus really brought back some memories haha

Comfy or crazy? I say crazy!!
In October, we made a trip with my parents to St. Helens which is where they filmed the Disney movie "Halloweentown" which I loved when I was growing up!

The taxi from the movie!
We also, of course, carved pumpkins. Isaac's dad loves to garden, so he had quite the pumpkin patch for us to pick from!

My pumpkin :)
In November, Aunt Tina and Uncle Lincoln drove up from Utah to spend Thanksgiving with all of us! We had quite a bit of fun together!

 Love the beach!

Thanksgiving was at my parents house, and boy was all the food delicious!

We played some Pictionary as well which brought out a lot of laughter!

In December, Sydney was home from college so we all went and played Top Golf and had a blast. I won the first round ;)

We also, unsurprisingly, went on a hike in December as well. One of Tayler's last hurrah's in the PNW before heading off to Rexburg.

Tayler's always gotta goof around to make us laugh :)
Our goodbye lunch to Tayler! The next day he packed up his car and drove all the way to Rexburg.

Summer 2018

Lot's of things happened last summer that I never got around to blogging about, but am doing it now so that's better than nothing right? First major thing that happened was that I graduated from BYU-Idaho with my bachelor's in Public Health. That last semester was one of my busiest
semesters ever, as I had my internship to do on top of all my other classes. Needless to say that
when graduation rolled around, I was pretty ready for it!

I also got the email later in the summer that I graduated Suma Cum Laude, or the top 1% of my class!

The next week after graduating Isaac and I moved back to Oregon to live with his parents to help us save some money while we wait for him to get into graduate school. We are super grateful
that we were able to do this and have loved being around both his parents and mine!

August was quite the whirlwind of a time. Isaac and I practically spent the whole month in Utah because we had my family's reunion at the beginning of the month and then 2 week later
Isaac's family's reunion as well. Jackie and Tyler were super nice to put up with us staying with
them for so long haha!

Luckily we got to be there  for this cute little dude's 2nd birthday!
Sadly I didn't get a ton of pictures of the Kinsman reunion, but we had a blast!

This was super fun! You put a water balloon in that little blue container and then you zip it back and forth
trying to get it to break on the other person.
The Darrah reunion was in Midway. We had fun going on hikes and relaxing. We also went up to Park City and went down the Alpine Slide which was super fun!

Heading up the ski lift to do the Alpine Slide!

We also went swimming in this natural crater in Midway where the water is hot tub hot. Apparently is a popular spot to learn how to scuba dive!

A lake we hiked to :)

The beautiful mountains!

We also went on a fun camping trip with my mom and brother to Cold Water Cove. There were beautiful waterfalls around, but we were really looking forward to hiking to the Tamolitch Blue Pools
that we had heard so much about!

The water was a beautiful color!

Always do your best to get the best shot ;)

Tamolitch Blue Pools!

Overall, our summer was fantastic! We loved all the fun things we got to do and the
family we got to do it with :)
