Yummy!

Let me start by saying one thing: I totally am in love with Pinterest! It's amazing :) The other day I was scrolling through, and I found this recipe for garlic bread stuffed with cheese!!! I decided I needed to try it, because I love all things bread and garlic bread happens to be one of my favs. Anyways, Hope came over yesterday and needed to go shopping for food and asked me if I wanted to come. I of course said yes, so off we went. I got the bread I needed for the recipe, and she got all the food she needed to feed the Sister Missionaries. I was super excited to try it, and I was super hopeful that it would be as amazing as it sounded..... and it totally was! You guys seriously have to try it and tell me what you think!

Time Out for Girls

I'm taking a break from blogging about my trip because I don't think I'll ever finish it! Last weekend I went to  Time Out for Girls with my friends Rachel, Emilee, Hannah, and Rebecca. It was super fun and I think I might've gained some major ab muscles!! :) We met John Bytheway, Kris Belcher, Sandra Turley, Laurel Christenson, Carmen Rasmuesen Herbert, John Hilton the Third, and Hillary Weeks!

John Bytheway, Sandra Turley, Kris Belcher, and Carmen Rasmuesen Herbert

Carmen singing! She was on American Idol and made it to the top 6!  She talked about how you will never regret making a right decision, and how we shouldn't change our image to make people like us.

John Hilton the 3rd talked about how we can get answers from the scriptures and how we need to expect the respect from the boys. He was really funny and I really liked his presentation (? don't know if that's the right word). He also talked about how we need to respect ourselves and we need to keep an eternal perspective. He also said "If you break the rules, the rules will break you." He also gave us a dare to not compare ourselves to anyone else for at least 48 hours because comparing yourself to someone else does not build you up, but tear you down.

John Bytheway is HILARIOUS and I learned lot's of stuff I can't even remember it all! One memorable moment was his imersonation of Don Knotts from the Andy Griffeth Show and the Apple Dumpling Gang. On a more spiritual note he also talked about listening to the Spirit and how we need to be better examples. He also talked about not lowering our standards and how we also need to expect more from the boys.
Me, Rachel, John Hilton 3rd and Emilee :)  Did I mention that his room was right next to ours in the hotel we stayed in?!

Me and Carmen Rasmuesen Herbert :)

Sandra Turley talked about her experience in the Broadway show of Les Miserables! She has an amazing voice!  She told us that Heavenly Father will always be there for us and that he is always thinking about us and we should think more about him.
Overall it was a very spiritual and hilarious weekend. Thanks for inviting me Rachel :)

Oh and guess what? I got my two bottom wisdom teeth out yesterday! YAY! haha I'm kinda swollen and sore :/ but luckily I got to sleep in today cause there was no seminary :)

New York and New Jersey

Hahahaha ok I am laughing at myself because I officially SUCK at blogging! It is now October and I have been home for a bout a month, but have I finished blogging about my awesome trip? NO. We are now at the New York and New Jersey part of my trip so we're getting close ;) So technically, we didn't really do anything in New Jersey, we just drove through the ghetto trying to find our hotel.. We just slept in New Jersey and did all the fun stuff in New York. First thing we did was go to the Broadway show of Wicked! Oh My Gosh people!! It was amazing and I absolutely loved it!!!
Where our taxi/bus dropped us off! Fashion Avenue :)

Times Square was totally amazing!

On our way to Wicked! Broadway is probably one of the most famous streets EVER

Getting excited!!! :D

The back-drop was totally amazing!!! Way cool guys. If you ever go to New York, you totally have to go see this show!
Best thing ever :)

Ya.. I have no clue who that chick is, but we were gonna be there forever waiting for people to move

As soon as it started getting dark-ish, BOOM there were butt-loads of people everywhere.

I think saw more people dressed up in costumes here than I did in Disney World lol. I also saw a lot of  people with "I need Money For Weed! Why lie?" signs... ya.. haha I wasn't scared at all in Times Square unlike New Orleans..

Me and my mom made this our joke.. You can't be HALF a gangster :)
Next day Tayler was sick so Hope and I went out on our own :) (The day after that though we just did the same thing so that Tayler and mom could see everything too :))

That is a battleship... that I forgot the name of.. INTREPID! haha there we go :)

Heck yes!

DOUBLE DECKER BUS! I think I'm in love with New York :)

I will enjoy the ride, thanks! :) It was awesome :)
Tug Boat party!

That is the WTC number 1 a.k.a. The tallest building in New York. (The building that's not finished on the right just so your not confused :) )

9-11 Memorial Ponds

So sad :(

9-11 Motorcylce made by Junior from American Choppers, my dad thought this was pretty cool! " I watched him build that bike!!" haha :)

Three Bridges! Brooklyn Bridge.. annnddd two others.. lol the guy talked about these quite a bit but I can't remember!  This is what I get for waiting 500 million years to blog.

Lady Liberty :)

Me with tiny Lady Liberty in the background! Too get a picture with her up close, you had to go out in the wind and rain on the boat and I just didn't want to..

Police men on horses!!! :) Still think this is kinda funny, but I guess it's easier to maneuver through traffic :)
Up Next: Boston and Salem Massachusetts.

Gettysburg, Hershey and Liberty Bell

I now realize that it is gonna take me forever to get caught up! Especially now that school has started :( I will try my best though :) Ok, so since I am of course still playing catch-up, I am combining Gettysburg with Hershey Pennsylvania and the Liberty Bell. Gettysburg was a pretty neat experience, we went on a driving tour, we had a CD that explained everything for us. There were memorials/statues and huge headstones ALL over the place.

North Carolina Memorial :)

After Gettysburg we went to Hershey Pennsylvania, which I found out doesn't really exist? Weird.. I know and I don't exactly know how to explain it, so I would suggest to you if your curious to Google it :) That's what I always do; me and Google are like BFF's now. Moving on though, I was super duper excited for Hershey! What person in their right mind doesn't love chocolate right? ;)

Welcome to Heryshey! It's kinda funny cause me and Hope were talking about the "castle-like building" up on the hill
and it turns out to be the town's middle school.. i was like WHAAA?!! I wish I could go to school in a cool looking building.... :)

Yup, Chocolate World.. be jelous ;)
We went on a tour of Hershey, and we had a hilarious tour guide: Fred. He told us that Hershey is the sweetest place on Earth, even the air smells sweet, and is therefore the only place where you can breathe and get fat.

Milton Hershey's Birthplace!

Hershey Cocoa bushes! They also have chocolate geese in Hershey :) ok no they don't, but you know those geese that
have dark brown heads and necks, light brown backs, and white bellies? Well Fred told us that they were chocolate geese because they have Dark Chocolate Heads, Milk Chocolate Backs, and White Chocolate bellies :)

Hershey Kiss Lamp Posts!!!

So I pretty much think that I would have the coolest address on the face of the planet if I lived on Chocolate Avenue..

One of the few places where this isn't creepy ;)
After eating lot's of chocolate and having fun in Hershey we quickly drove over to the Liberty Bell so that we could see it before it closed that day because it would be closed all weekend.. and that wouldn't work for us.

I only know about Pass and Stow cause of National Treasure... The whole time we were in D.C. I kept picturing
scenes from the movies :)

Next up: New York and New Jersey!
Oh and guess what?? I counted all the states we're going to be going through and by the end of this trip I will have gone to 32 states! Before this trip I had only been to 6 states and Canada. Pretty awesome :)
