Four Months

Height: 26 inches
Weight: 16 lbs 9 oz

Likes:
Mommy singing
Playing with Dad
Grandma's tickles
Grandpa's silly faces

Dislikes:
Being on his tummy for very long
Being tired or hungry (shocker)

Blake really has grown so much this month!! He talks way more, squeals, giggles and smiles all the time! One time this month I was singing to him and rocking him trying to get him to go to sleep and he just kept smiling at me 😍. He is just the cutest! He is so ticklish and will giggle when I change his clothes 🤣. He rolled from back to front this month as well as front to back and really likes to sit up and stand with our help. He's drinking 7 ounces every feeding (except for at night when he only drinks 4). We just love our little chub-a-wub ♥️♥️.

Three Months

Height: about 25 inches
Weight: about 14.5/15 pounds

Likes:
Bath time
Grandma's house
His baby carrier
Story time
Christmas trees
His toys
Looking outside while in the car
Being told he's cute and adorable (he seriously smiles when we do)

Dislikes:
Not being able to see me while in the car
Napping (he fights it more than ever before)

Blake is three months old already! This month he really started to show more personality. He smiles all the time and we can even get giggles out of him sometimes. He is finally interested in his toys and can be entertained with them for quite a while! Blake also found his two hands, he sucks on them more than ever and will clasp them together and it is so cute! I've abandoned the baby bath seat and have just been laying him in the tub because it's so much easier, and he loves it! He'll kick and splash around and smile at me. Blake is getting so big, and has now experienced alll his firsts of the major holidays. He loved Christmas tree lights and would always look up to the top like he was thinking "wow, how tall is that thing???" He also started sleeping really well at night, going 6 hours straight and sometimes 7! I can't wait to see what new things he discovers and new tricks he learns in the next month!

Tummy time (after a while)

We really do have the chillest little baby! He cries for 3 things: food, sleep and to be picked up after tummy time. This month Blake got to meet all this cousins on my side of the family, and had his first Thanksgiving! He was blessed by his dad on the 30th of November as well, which was so sweet and it was awesome to have the whole family there for it. He's getting so big, and we just love him!

One Month

Height: about 22 1/4 inches
Weight: 8 lbs 14.9 oz

Our little Blake is one month old!! I can't believe how fast it has gone by. Even though I've never been more tired in my whole life, I wouldn't want it any other way! Isaac and I just love our little man.

Blake loves to be held by anyone and everyone. He'll sleep okay if I lay him down, but he'll sleep longer if he's held during the day. At night he sleeps for about 3 hours at a time in his crib, which is pretty nice! He likes his play mat and will stare at the animals hanging over his head. He does not like his swing and will cry after about 10 minutes of being in it. He also does not like being dressed or undressed, unless I can get it done fast enough, he gets pretty upset. Blake loves lights and looking around when he's on my chest. Tummy time goes pretty well, but he's usually hungry when we're doing it so it doesn't last too long before he's just over it and ready to eat. Overall, Blake is such a good baby and I am so thankful for him!

Pregnancy and Blake's birth

I found out I was pregnant on February 2nd, the day before heading to Utah for a month! I hadn't had any symptoms yet, I just felt like I should take a test, so I did. Isaac and I were so happy!! We had been trying to get pregnant for a few months, and were so excited that the time had come!
I told my mom right away, but waited a week or two to tell my sister's. Hope was about to have her baby and Jackie was pregnant as well, so for a few weeks all 3 of us were pregnant at the same time!!

Our first ultrasound was on March 18th, and we could see his little heart beating! I remember thinking that it still didn't really feel real, like I wasn't really pregnant. That soon changed when I felt him move for the first time around 16 weeks, and felt him everyday after that. He was a mover, no doubt about it!

I never got to take my 39 week picture because little Blake decided to make an appearance!

My contractions started on Saturday, October 5th around 1:30 p.m. but didn't get painful until 3:00 a.m. on October 6th. We had gone into the hospital on Saturday because my contractions had been going every 5 minutes for more than an hour, but I was only dilated to a 2. When we went in on Sunday morning I was still only dilated to like a 3 but because my contractions were so frequent and so painful, they admitted me and I got the epidural put in within the next hour or so, thank goodness!! By noon I was feeling the need to push after they broke my water around 10 or 11 to place a heart rate monitor on Blake's head (at which point I had only been a 4) so I got to a 10 pretty fast! By 1 ish I was pushing and by 2:23 p.m. he was here!
